Zoromi Theater — Creator Revenue Share Terms

Version in force: checking...

  1. What this covers. These terms apply when a work you submitted is published in the Zoromi Theater and viewers pay Coins to unlock its episodes. They add to the Submission Terms and the Terms of Service; those still apply.
  2. Your share. For each paid unlock of one of your episodes, you earn a share of the net amount Zoromi actually keeps from the Coins spent on it. Net amount means the money received for those Coins after taxes, payment-processor and store fees, refunds and chargebacks. The share depends on how the viewer came to the episode (your own audience, Zoromi's audience, or a promoter's link) and on how the work was produced, as shown in your creator dashboard at the time of the unlock. The current shares are listed in the Appendix. Zoromi may change the shares for future unlocks by updating the dashboard; a change never applies to unlocks already made.
  3. Free episodes and promotions. Episodes Zoromi shows for free, trial Coins, gifted Coins and Coins converted from Gems earn no share unless the dashboard says otherwise. Zoromi decides which episodes are free and may run promotions.
  4. Hold period. Each unlock's share is held for the period shown in your dashboard to cover refunds and disputes. If the viewer's payment is refunded, reversed or lost in a dispute, the share for unlocks paid with that payment is reduced or removed, also after the hold. Amounts we have already paid that are later reversed are deducted from your next payouts.
  5. Payout. Held amounts that have cleared are paid out when they reach the minimum shown in your dashboard, on Zoromi's payout schedule, in US dollars, to the payout method you set up (Stripe Connect or PayPal). Payout fees charged by the payout provider and bank, and any currency conversion, are yours. Zoromi may delay or withhold a payout while it checks for fraud, rights complaints, a breach of these terms, or missing tax or identity information. Amounts below the minimum stay in your balance.
  6. Tax forms and withholding. Before the first payout you must give Zoromi (or its tax-form provider) a valid tax form: Form W-9 for US persons, Form W-8BEN or W-8BEN-E for others. Zoromi withholds and reports tax where US law requires it, including 30% on US-source income of non-US persons without a valid treaty claim, and files the forms the law requires (such as 1099 or 1042-S). Amounts withheld count as paid to you. You are responsible for all other taxes on your share.
  7. Promoters. If a viewer reaches your work through a promoter's link, the promoter's share is paid out of the net amount as shown in the Appendix; your share is the one for that case. A promoter earns only from completed payments.
  8. Statements. Your dashboard shows your unlocks, held and cleared amounts, and payouts. Tell us within 60 days of a statement if you think it is wrong; after that it is accepted. Zoromi's records are the basis for payment.
  9. No guarantee. Zoromi does not promise any number of viewers, unlocks or earnings, and may change prices, pack sizes, the number of free episodes and the Theater's features at any time.
  10. Takedown and ending. If the work is taken down at your request, you still receive the share for unlocks made before the takedown. If it is removed for a rights complaint, the law or a breach of the rules, Zoromi may hold or forfeit unpaid shares for that work to cover claims and refunds. Zoromi may end these terms for your account with 30 days' notice, or at once for a breach; you may stop by taking your works down. Cleared, undisputed amounts above the minimum are still paid.
  11. Accounts and fraud. Only one creator account per person or company. Unlocks that are self-made, bot-made, refunded or otherwise not genuine earn nothing, and Zoromi may take back shares already paid on them.
  12. Law, changes and interpretation. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, USA, as set out in the Terms of Service. Zoromi may change these terms for future unlocks by posting a new version; you accept a new version by keeping your works published after notice. To the extent permitted by law, Zoromi reserves the right to interpret these terms and decide any case they do not expressly cover.
